Alok Anand: His Dreams Come True, See You Anytime
But give me just one night where the world will go missing,
His name is Alok Anand, an Indian, was a shy boy living in the small city. I found him on Facebook when were just 15 or 16, I guess. Don't blame me, Facebook was lit in the era.
Guess he was a sad boy, I was just a girl talking to random people in English, practicing my bad English skill that time. My English was so bad haha and he was kinda checking my grammatical mistakes. And it worked, thanks darling.
He didn't have friends, grew up from a lil strict family and got big dreams but didn't know how. He said "I wanted to be a cadet, sailing across the ocean, I wanna be part of it, a Capt maybe" I said, "that's awesome. I didn't even know what I wanna be"
He went to a boarding school as I was just here in my room. We talked almost everyday. I told him every good words that I could to make him believe that his dreams will come true someday. On a daily basis.
Then, we went too far, too sweet, too emotional. We loved each other. The type of love, (that I think now it was so funny) that seemed so real and we didn't care about the distance and shits.
We dreamt about our future. A beautiful dream of this lil girl and boy. He said, "I wanna get money as much as I can. Devan, if I graduated from here with good scores, I might get my promotion to work in marine! Then, it could be easier to visit your country, to meet you!"
I said, "ya boy, you are a smart guy. You will get your dreams. You can be that captain of the ship. Sounds like a Captain of the Carabean?" What a young love story!
Speaking of love story, my story with this Alok Anand guy might be my version of high school love story. It's way too imaginative but yeah it was. Till then, I felt like I grew up by talking to him. Till I moved to college, we kept talking about.ore random, dirty, sexy, deep and valuable things.
I once thought, "duh, this guy is so hot and I wanna marry him" (whatever I was thinking that day haha)
But yeah, it was lame days and nights. He cheered me up, we called on Skype, was really happy for me. He wrote my name in blood, he said, but I thought it was just a red marker run of ink. It was cute, anyway.
Till one day, I was in college when he texted me. He said, "I got a job, job in a ship!" And I was freaked out. What a dream. But as a fresh graduated he got just underrated jobdesk (which I forgot) but it was a good startups for him.
From that day, he learned to be a professional in his career. He sailed for the first 6 months and he got his first dollar. I was so bloody for him.
I said, "I was right, you can really be a big guy now. Now you are officially a great cadet and I believe 10 years by now you can be a big Capt."
He said, "that's part of hardworking"
I said, "thank you for achieving your dreams. I am on my way to achieve mine! you are a big guy!"
Then, that was the story. He's been on ship for years, raising money, earning experiences and more dreams. I saw his picture around Europe, he stopped by NYC, Canada, he took a very cool picture in Time Square, moving around Asia, to Japan, Korean, back to India, and sailing again to some parts of this big great world.
Then, we don't talk anymore.
We barely talk now.
But sometimes I still write him poems. Somehow I wish his existence was real. I wish he was here. Sometimes, I miss him.
Then, here's my little pray. I hope someday I meet him for real. I hope he's always doing great. I hope I meet you. I always wanna hug you for real.
Do you think it's gonna come true?
Let the universe decide...
but in the end of the day, I love him in different ways of loving someone.
Take care, Alok! We'll meet someday.
When we're together with no distance from you and me
